This is (possibly) the last in a series of posts entitled Conflicted, which began with this:
segued to this:
went kicking and screaming to this:
and now may wrap up with this:
So, someone's thinning a bit, I see. Turned too soon did we?
Give me a break. It's early yet. I'm still unfolding.
At least those squirrels finally skedaddled. Horrible, messy things.
The kids are back on the playground. I like that.
Winter gets awfully quiet.
But now we have all these days to soak up the sun, listen in on the conversations in the carpool line, and grow.
We are a poem lovely.
You write that?
Nope. Joyce Kilmer. East coast guy. Died in World War I.
I'm thinking of composing some original verse this summer myself.
Composting, more like it.
Hey, now.
Why wait for good weather? Anyone who turns scarlet as well as you do must have mad poetic skills.
How's this:
A tree divided
into crimson and green
remains resolute.
Keep practicing.

That is a tree with a distinct personality!
I have passed that tree numerous times and never heard a thing. Who knew what was going on? Thanks for giving us the inside scoop!
Keep it coming, Naperville Now. I enjoy your creativity.
This tree has been through a lot.
We have a few confused trees here in St. Louis, too! It is sad to see them thinning so quickly. Hopping over from Jenny Matlock!
These photos are proof that life is ever-changing, nothing stays exactly the same. :))
Thanks for stopping by. I'm like your tree...thoroughly confused about what season it is. We left when winter was waning. Went straight into the peak of fall. And returned to full on spring with trees blooming and birds singing. So, what day of the week is it anyway? :)
Treemendous post♫♪Like your witty wordings.
awesome post! thoughts from a tree! wonderful!
I like seeing all those seasonal shots of the tree on one post.
Is it possible to love a tree? I think I will cry if anything ever happens to it now, I feel like I know it so well.

I love when the tree dresses in red!
very nice pictures... when I saw your title on Jenny Matlock's blog (yadda, yadda)I kind of was hoping it was about the Seinfeld episode where every one started saying yadda yadda instead of what actually happened. very funny
I love thoughtful trees!
And thoughtful you!
What a lovely, lovely link for the letter 'Y'.
You made me smile.
Hugs and A+
