Not So Pastalicious

You know when you have dinner catered for a group of friends? And it's all nicely cooked and in foil pans? And you are really looking forward to Lemon Chicken and Mostaccoli? And you get everything tucked into the oven? And 45 minutes later, you remove the pans, add extra sauce and put everything back into the oven?

Well, remember to read the directions and add a cookie sheet under the stupid foil pan, or it will collapse in a steamy heap on your Oriental rug.

.

And no, the 5-second rule will not apply.

My New Year's resolution is to eat out more.

What's yours?

Pasta on the floor on the first day of the new year has to be a good omen somewhere in the world. Go with that.

I'm all about the good omens...
And was this the white chocolate cheesecake from Sam's with the homemade raspberry sauce?

Thanks for this very practical party advice. So sorry to hear of your ca-pasta-trophe.

Ouch! Whatever the mess, tho, it could not have been as bad as the basement. Resolve to smile, chalk it up to another of life's lessons and party on!

Just throw it in the basement with the rest of the 2010 catastrophe?
I remember the year our turkey fell out of the oven. (This was 30+ years ago when you would baste with an old cotton diaper on the turkey!) 5 second rule did apply there.

And did the stain come out of your beautiful rug?? If not, get this wonderful stuff called Wine Away! It actually got out a red wine stain a couple of days after the spill on our beige carpet. (You can get some at the wine store next to Oswalds).
