4 Days Late

Naperville Now is officially one. And 4 days. (It should come as no surprise to those who know me that I don't do numbers well.)

Again my thanks to Julie Powell, who apparently is no longer blogging. (And divorced from Eric, much to my dismay. Loved him in Julie and Julia.)

Also my thanks to Kristin Espinasse, author of French Word-a-Day, who has blogged about living the writing life at http://www.french-word-a-day.typepad.com/Pour votre inspiration, Kristin, merci merci merci.

In lieu of cake, which I dislike, let's celebrate, shall we? Grab a flute. Guy in tux optional.

Wait! I was told that Julie and Eric had a rough spot, but worked it all out. Please, tell me it's not so.....
OK, I had a Chardonnay. Best I could do up here by Rochester over by der.

Forget the cake. For your blog's birthday, I'm giving you a free weekend in my motorhome. As soon as I buy it. And providing you bring your own ladder to climb up in the cab over bed. I love your blog and love you too!

It's true. If you read the book "Cleaving: A Story of Meat, Marriage and Obsession," it tells the story. Ick.

As for the free weekend, I'm there. Thank you, Jodie, princess of all things RV.

Happy Birthday, blog! But how can it be that your author eschews cake?! Sigh. Because I no longer imbibe, I dedicate the cake I ate at a banquet last night to you and NN. Keep up the GREAT work!

"Cleaving: A Story of Meat, Marriage and Obsession"? Probably not the best book title I've ever seen.

Congrats on your one year anniversary! I raise my can of Diet Coke in your honor.
